Sadly I didn’t take that many pictures of the exhibition, I was too engrossed in the imagery.
The exhibition focused on what happens behind the scenes of a computer games. What was really cool is that as you play the game you get sucked into the world and it almost seems real. But with the clips shown in the exhibition it showed you what behind that forest or huge clump of rocks. Its nothing, if its not part of the actual game the makers aren’t going to make anything behind it. This seems obvious looking back but when i was watching it, I found it so fascinating.
It really stripped gaming back to the pure graphics and intentions behind each game.
I could have watched those clips for ages, the voice narrating was calming, creating such a cool atmosphere.
