John Maeda, who just doesn’t stop, he’s constantly working constantly thinking, jumping from one thing to the next. I find that so admirable, I’d love to be able to work like that and still with such enthusiasm.
In Matthew Carters TED talk, he talked mostly about what designing type used to be like before the digital age and how things have changed since then. Just listening to him and how he worked on these type commissions, made me genuinely think how fun that sounded. The fact that he had to calculate so precisely when designing a type for photo.
I loved what Wim Crouwel was saying about influences, and that architecture influences him and even if you shuts himself off because you’ve got an idea that you want to fun with your still going to get influences. That sounded beautiful.
