Dialogue Studio: Kurt Schwitters

Kurt Schwitters is a german painter, typographer collager and writer who takes inspiration from expressionism and cubism.

His most popular work are his collages and I have to say they are my favourite, I’ve always enjoyed collage and his are particularly interesting as they have a certain feel to them and then he’ll add a really bizarre image like the collage below.

Also, Schwitter’s always has a clear colour scheme in his work, which I love mostly because of the colours he uses but also I like artwork that’s uniform.

All images taken from Tate Britain website of Kurt Schwitters work.
